Pokhara is a starting point to one of the most famous trekking areas in the world known as the Annapurna region. The treks lasting from one day to three weeks are possible in the area. Some of the famous treks are as follows:

Jomsom – Muktinath trek (10 – 14 days)

Jomsom is the only place along the Annapurna circuit, which is connected by air with Pokhara and Kathmandu. It is also the district headquarters of Mustang, which includes part of the legendary Mustang and the Muktinath reigon. Trekking to Muktinath begins from Jomsom if you first fly to here. On the way to Muktinath it’s worth visiting to the village of Kagbeni, a Tibetan influenced settlement close to Lo Manthang, the capital of what used to be the old principality of Mustang. From here, the trail climbs steeply to rejoin the regular trail before Khingar is reached. A further climb brings you through an old village Jharkot to Ranipauwa, the accommodation area of Muktinath, at 3800m. Muktinath is a pilgrimage centre for Buddhists and Hindus. The shrines include a Buddhist Gompa and the Vishnu temple of Jwala Mai. An old temple nearby shelter spring and natural gas jets, which provide Muktinath with the famous eternal flame. From Muktinath you can continue your trek to Pokhara or if you have short time you can catch a flight back to Pokhara from Jomsom again.

Pokhara-Dhampus-Sarangkot-Pokhara:( 2 -3 days)

This trek to the scenic Gurung village of Dhampus mesmerizes our guests because of the spectacular  view of the Himalaya ranges and this is the best spot to see Machhapuchhre in the shape of  A Fish Tail. The village of Sarangkot (1590m) is situated on the top of a hillock just north of Phewa Lake. One gets to see beautiful views of sunrise and sunset from Sarangkot as the sun splashes hues of red on the Himalaya range. On a clear day, the panoramic ranges of Annapurna , Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and Ganesh Himal can be observed from here. It is world’s famous paragliding spot too.

Poon hill trek: (4 -5 days)

This trek starts from Birethanti on the Pokhara-Baglung road and continues to Ghandruk, a beautiful village of Gurung people. From the village you can see a closer view of the Annapurna’s south peak. The famous part of this trek is Pun Hill, which is known as world's best view point to see sunrise and sunset with more than fifteen mountain peeks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Pun hill is situated at an altitude of 3200m, it is the highest altitude of your Pun hill trek. The village of Ghorepani is just below Pun hill and inhabited by Magars. From Ghorepani you can come down to Birethanti to end your trek.

Annapurna Circuit trek: ( 18 – 20 days)

The Annapurna Circuit is the most popular 300-kilometer trek in Nepal, around the Annapurna mountain range in the Himalaya. This trek reaches an altitude of 5416m on the Thorung La pass. The panoramic magnificence of mountain ranges that can be viewed from here include  Annapurna, the spectacular ice pyramid Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Machhapuchhre considered to be one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. This trek follows ancient paths used as trade routes between Nepal and Tibet. These paths have long facilitated the flow of culture and religion. Even today, Tibetan  Mahayana Buddhism, Hinduism and the pre-Buddhist Bon-Po religion coexists and interpenetrates one another in this region. The unusually wide range of climatic zones in this small area provides an opportunity to watch different flora and fauna, at the same time, the diverse lifestyle of people residing in this region.

Dhaulagiri circuit trek: ( 2 weeks)

A trek around Dhaulagiri (8167m), the 7th highest peak in the world, is considerd “A pioneering trek around the ice pyramid Dhaulagiri Massif!”  It’s a demanding and remote wilderness tek that completes a challenging circuit around the massif.  You start your trek from Beni across the kali Gandaki valley, crossing two high passes called French pass (5360m) and Dhampus pass (5182m), then down to Jomsom to finish. This trek you can only do with camping because there are not many tea houses along the trek.
